Contributor biography

Hernán Bayona-Ortiz M.D, FAHA is a Neurologist & Epidemiologist at the Universidad del Bosque. International Stroke Fellowship Program of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He is Professor of neurology at the Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá, where he also works as Director of the Stroke Center. He is Associate clinical professor at the Universidad de los Andes and Director of the Neurology Research Group (GIN). He has a huge interest in developing Stroke networks including patient transportation to qualified hospitals and introducing telemedicine for patient evaluation.
