Description
The COVID-19 Pandemic has greatly affected the delivery of care in the area of Stroke. A recently published paper, addressed the challenges and strained resources of low and middle income countries and aimed to address recommendations that may be low cost but high impact. This discussion will involve key HCPs involved in the delivery of care in these systems and real world perspectives from those involved in the paper and for the continued delivery of stroke care in a pandemic environment.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Evaluate recent advances in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of cerebrovascular disease.
- Interpret the rapidly changing areas within the stroke spectrum such as emerging options for the diagnosis of stroke, mechanisms of stroke recovery and the impact of vascular cognitive impairment.
