Contributor biography

Dr Thomas I Nathaniel( FAHA, FWSO) is a Clinical Neuroscientist with training in Europe and USA. He is Director of the Neuroscience Module, University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, USA. He is involved in many stroke programs. He research is at both national and international level in Telestroke, stroke care, syndromes, imaging, prognosis and treatment. He is active in multiple national and international stroke organizations including the  World Stroke Organization, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association among others. He is an editorial board member of several stroke and neurological journals, and involved in  reviewing  funding   for several agencies including American Heart Association, NIH, SFN, NSF etc. He has  published several peer-reviewed papers and conference abstracts  in the field of Stroke Neurology, and has been  invited as a guest speaker to national and international conferences. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and World Stroke Organization  and has  won several national and international awards.
